Has the Corona Virus fast forwarded the Robotic Revolution?
18 August 2020Many of us would have liked to skip 2020 if we could since it has brought misery to people all around Canada. In addition to that, the virus has brought mental illness, depressions along with it and has made our more difficult than before. In times like this, we have to have collective strength, by conveying gratitude, humility, strength and empathy amongst ourselves.
Someone once said “Chaos brings opportunities along with it” and this time is no different. The corona virus has brought a chance for Artificial Intelligence to excel more rapidly than ever. Artificial Intelligence along with IOT and Robotics has had significant growth in the recent years but it was still far from fulfilling its potential in near future. Many organizations integrated AI in their offices to integrate it with their human employees; for e.g. Commercial Delivery robots in restaurants were mainly used for marketing purposes and integrated with human labor as human beings were the ones for doing primary tasks.
Will Self Guiding Robots be used permanently after the pandemic or not?
In light of Covid-19, private as well as governmental hospitals across the globe had flirted with the idea of using automated Robots to disinfect medical environments and within few months almost all the first world countries have begun to use Disinfecting Robots. The main questions we can raise from the current scenario are “Will modern technology be used in a more diversified field in mass production and if so how?”
Only time would tell if we have shifted from the traditional dynamics of living.
